걷기
유형 1 Question
Where do you usually take your walks? Describe what those places are like.
Well, I love walking, everywhere I go is a place for walking for me. I can walk at the park, at the beach, and even at home. Anyway…hmmm… yeah I think I mostly walk at the park. Like I said, there is a huge and beautiful park just around the corner. Whenever I feel blue or feel the urge to destress myself, I just jumped out of my house and walked around the park. This park is so beautiful that just thinking about it makes me want to walk. The best thing about this park is that there is a convenience store in the park. So, after my walking for a while, I can go there and treat myself with some cup noodles and drinks. I think that’s all.
- Feel blue —
유형 2 Question
Tell me about your walking habits — how far you typically go, how long it takes, and how often you get out there.
As I said earlier, I often walk around the park near my house. It takes about 5 minutes to get there. So, I just go there whenever I have some spare time to get some fresh air and clear my head. I think I walk about an hour when I walk there. It takes about 20 minutes to finish one lap and I walk for three laps. On weekends, I think I walk a bit more because I have a lot more free time. Plus, whenever I am sick of walking at the same park, I often take a walk around supermarkets. You know, walking can be boring but I often lose track of time when I just walk around the supermarket while buying groceries. How about you?
- Lose track of time — 시간 가는 줄 모르다
- Fresh air —
유형 3 Question
When did walking become a regular part of your life, and what got you started?
When I was young, I was a bit chubby and I was too lazy to exercise. So, I just stayed at home watching TV all day. So, I ended up being overweight. But, there was one girl that I had a crush on and I just wanted to look nice to her. I heard that walking was a good exercise to burn calories and to stay in good shape. So, I started walking around the park near my house for about an hour a day and I could drop some weights. Ever since then, I fell in love with walking and I’ve been walking on a regular basis.

4 Question
Tell me about one walk that has stayed in your memory. Where and when was it, who was with you, and what did you see and experience along the way? Take me through it from beginning to end.
Hmm…it’s been a while and I can’t clearly remember…well……. if I have to choose one, I think it is when I was walking in the park in my neighborhood. Well, as I said, there are lots of people. Plus, there are lots of people walking their dogs. I mean, there are no problems with walking dogs. But, the thing is when I was walking around the park, I saw one person and a gorgeous puppy. At first, I was just like “oh man, she’s so gorgeous and lovely” but what happened was that the dog started to bark at me and I just ignored it because it was just a little puppy. But, a few moments later, the dog started to sprint toward me and I just freaked out. I mean nothing really happened because it was just a little puppy but the person didn’t apologize to me and I was so confused. Well, it’s not really that special but it comes to my mind because I just thought that she was too irresponsible for not apologizing to me. I think that’s pretty much it.
5 Question
Ask me four questions about the places I love to walk.
Oh, I really didn’t know that you also enjoy walking. That’s great to know. I think you and I have the same taste. Anyway, can I ask you some questions?
So, where do you usually take a walk? I walk around the park whenever I have time. How about you?
Also, are there many people? It’s sometimes too annoying because the park that I go to is too crowded. Maybe, I want to join you.
Are there restaurants near there? I get hungry after walking.
How about cafes? Drinking a cup of cold iced-coffee after walking is the best.
Please answer me. Thank you.

A friend has invited you along on a walk. Ask a few questions to get a better idea of what they're planning.
I heard that you want to go walking with me. Well, that’s what I was waiting for. Anyway, I have some questions. Would you mind if I ask some questions ?
So, where are we walking exactly? You know that I don’t have a car. So, I won’t be able to drive there. So, you either have to pick me up or we have to go to a park that is within walking distance.
Also, how far are we going to walk? Honestly, the weather is getting hotter and hotter. It might be a bad idea to walk for a long time. I think an hour is enough. What do you say?
Lastly, who’s joining? Is Jenny also coming? I am definitely going if Jenny is there too.
Well, that’s all. Can you answer me??
- Within walking distance —
- Absolutely / Definitely —
6 Question
You're in the market for a pair of walking shoes. Call a sports shoe store and ask a few questions to check whether they carry what you're looking for.
Hi. Is this Nike? I’ve been looking for shoes for hiking and I have some questions before visiting there. Would you mind answering me?
I am looking for Nike Air Jordan II. Could you tell me what colors there are? I want to buy black ones. Do they come in black?
Also, what sizes are there? I normally wear ten and half US men's sizes. Do I have to get smaller ones for hiking or should I just stick to my size?
Lastly, I heard that there is an ongoing promotion. In the advertisement, it said that I get 50% off on my next purchase. Is this right? I’d like to double-check. Could you confirm?
That will be it. Could you please answer me? Thank you.

Your friend wants to keep walking, but you've hit your limit. Explain why you can't go any further and suggest something you could do instead.
Hey, could you hang in here just for a sec? You know what? I don’t think I can walk further. My legs have been hurting me seriously. I think this is it.
I think you and Jenny want to continue walking. You guys are crazy. I don’t want to bother you two. So, you can go ahead and continue your walk. I can just sit around here and wait until you come back.
We can also do this. How about we just go back? It’s getting darker now and I think it could be a bit dangerous to keep walking since we don’t have flashlights. So, why don’t we just go back?
I am sorry for being a party-pooper but I really can’t. Please let me know what you think.

Your new walking shoes turned out to be a disappointment. Take them back to the store, tell the salesperson what the problem is, and suggest a few ways to make things right.
Hey man. I am sure you remember me. I recently bought Nike Air Jordan II from this store. But, guess what I received. I freaking received Air Jonathan. What is this?
Anyway, I need a full refund immediately because it certainly was your fault for selling a wrong product.
If you can’t give me a full refund, I think I can at least ask for an exchange. You know what? I am really being generous to you.
If you can’t give me either a full refund or an exchange, I have no choice but to report to your manager or the headquarter. This is nuts. Please take care of it now.
- Have no choice but to — ~할 수밖에 없다

Tell me about a time you had to return something you weren't happy with. Give me as many details as you can — what you bought, why it let you down, and what you did to get the problem sorted out.
Actually, I have a quite similar experience. I remember the time when I bought a new laptop from an online store. I just took it immediately because it was on a big sale. But then, when I received it, I realized that it was a refurbished product. I had a bad experience with a refurbished product, so I never actually wanted to buy refurbished products. I called customer service and they told me that it was mentioned in the product description. I checked the description again and wow… Those letters were so small that I even needed a microscope to read them. But, what can I do? I had no choice but to use the laptop because it clearly was my fault for not double-checking it. So, ever since then, I always make sure to double-check the description whenever I buy items online.
