You know. I pretty much love all kinds of movies. I am definitely a movie person. But I think I prefer to watch action and comedy movies the most.

The thing is… I just want to clear my head when watching some movies. When I watch movies, I just simply don’t want to think about anything and just kill time. The best thing about action and comedy movies is that time flies whenever I watch them. For example, whenever I am too bored and need something to refresh myself, I just turn on Netflix and binge-watch any kinds of action and comedy movies. How about you? Wow, it is a difficult question for me since there are so many actors and actresses that I love. Hmm, if I have to choose one, I think I will have to choose 마동석. I’d like to describe this person to you shortly. First of all, he is well known for covering all sorts of genres. For example, he starred in thrillers, sad movies, and action movies. But, I think he is widely known for his action scenes. If you ever see his acting, you will feel like you are in the movie. One time, I had a chance to watch one of his movies and I couldn’t help but to burst into tears. Sometimes, his acting just cracks me up. Thanks to his nice acting, I believe he won various prizes at annual movie events supervised by the movie association in Korea. I think he deserves it.

I and my friends are trying to see Avengers IMAX and I wonder if the movie is still running. I know it’s been quite a while but I think I saw an ad at the shopping mall.

What a coincidence. You know? I exactly had experienced the same thing. You know, I think it was about a month ago when I went to see Top Gun 2. I was looking forward to seeing the movie because I was super impressed with Top Gun 1. Anyway, it turned out that wrong tickets were sold to me and I almost missed the movie because it was too late when I realized that wrong tickets had been sold. So, I was absolutely annoyed and confused. I had no idea what to do. But, I could get an exchange immediately and fortunately there were plenty of seats available. Plus, the movie theater compensated me with some free popcorn coupons. I wasn’t too happy with what had happened but it was fine.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of my favorite movie character is Maverick from Top Gun. You know, I was not really a fan of Tom Cruise back then. But, when I saw the movie at the movie theater, I was just like wow… he is super awesome. What I like about him is that he didn’t use any stuntman for his actions and he did all the actions by himself even though he is in his 60s. Isn’t that crazy? I think that’s insane. In the movie, Top Gun 2, he was actually in a fighter jet. I don’t think he was flying the jet by himself but I think it is still impressive that he was in the fighter jet.

Well, the thing is I actually didn’t enjoy watching TV that much.

In the past, I really hated it. I just hated it. Well…. It’s because I thought watching TV was just a waste of time. But then, I came down with a really bad flu and had to stay home for a while. There’s nothing fun about being stuck at home alone, right? Anyway, one of my friends just recommended that I try subscribing to Netflix and I was like whatever, I will just give it a shot. When I actually tried, I was like ‘Wow’. This is real. I was so hyped when I figured out how good it actually was. So, ever since then, I’ve been watching Netflix on a regular basis and it has become a huge part of my life. I even pay a monthly subscription fee on streaming services. I don’t think I can live without this. Why don’t you try this, Ava?

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of a memorable TV series is a program called Stranger Things on Netflix. I don’t remember exactly who starred in the program because their names weren’t that familiar to me. But, the series is about some mystery events happening at a small town in Indiana. There are some uncommon events happening in one town and the plot is a bit predictable and boring. But, there are couple of reasons that make this show stick to my memory. What makes it memorable for me is that I binge-watched all episodes in one week. Well.. it was not because it was the best thriller TV show but it’s because I was stuck at home in bed when I got a really bad flu. It’s unforgettable because this TV show helped me get through a bad flu. If it were not for the TV show, maybe, I would have been bored to death.

Hi. I rented Top Gun yesterday and it’s not working.. I think the DVD is defective because other DVDs are playing well on my DVD player. So, it definitely has to be the DVD itself.

Yes. Absolutely. I have a perfect story to tell you. I had a similar experience back in high school. You know, I and my friends were really excited to watch Avatar I. It’s because my friend said he bought a new Blu-ray player and a new TV. So, we went to Blockbuster to rent the DVD.

Well.. when we tried it, the DVD was defective and it ended up grinding my friend’s Blu-ray player. We really didn’t see that coming. The worst thing about this was that we couldn’t prove that it was the DVD that broke our Blu-ray player. The DVD store owner thought that it was our DVD player that broke his DVD. What a nonsense. I still don’t get it.

Surprisingly, everyone around me seemed to know what it was, and I was the only one who felt out of the loop.

That’s when my coworkers and I looked at each other and said something like, wow, Korean content is seriously making waves around the world.

So in the end, whenever we do talk about movies, the conversation usually focuses on how much Korean films and dramas have evolved and gained international popularity.

These days, we live in an incredibly convenient time where we can watch videos across multiple platforms, no matter where we are or what time it is.

But as you can imagine, this kind of access simply didn’t exist in the past.

Back then, television was the only way we could watch programs.

It sounds almost funny now, but we had to plan our schedules around TV broadcasting times.

I remember checking the weekly schedule for my favorite shows before making any evening plans.

But now, things are completely different.

It’s rare to find someone who doesn’t use streaming services like Netflix or other OTT platforms.

The biggest advantage of these services is that we can watch all kinds of content anytime and anywhere, without having to follow a fixed schedule.

Personally, I also watch a lot of visual content on my smartphone.

Since I always carry my phone with me, I can enjoy shows and videos no matter where I am.

For instance, I often watch live baseball games on the subway while heading home from work.
